A Woman Like Me
by Diane Abbott
informative
inspiring
reflective
slow-paced
I’m ashamed to say Dianne Abbot first truly came onto my radar as the Hun Icon who drank an M&S tinny cocktail on the overground. Was I aware of her politics beforehand? Possibly. Did this iconic act catapult her into my consciousness, and introduce me to her further politics YES. DID SHE MENTION THIS IN HER BOOK. NO. or at least not in as many words. This was a great political autobiography and I enjoyed it a great deal. It gave me a good insight into her life but I did miss a more personal angle here and there but frankly she owes me nothing and she’s amazing.
