The Two Lies of Faven Sythe

fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven:

This was a fun read, action-packed, and the sapphic yearning was a delightful element amidst the fast-paced plot. It has a lot of elements I really enjoy, and a really fun late twist which I won't spoil here. All that said, I found it kind of... forgettable? I just finished reading and it's all fading already.
I usually prefer a standalone but here I wonder if the author is just better at series. Whatever the reason, I didn't connect with the characters nearly as much as I have those of O'Keefe's two sci fi trilogies. I'm not mad about it, I had a decently fun time, but not the most memorable.

Graphic: Body horror, Violence
Moderate: Death, Infertility, Grief
