Dylan by Jaymin Eve, Tate James

5.0

I seriously can’t even put into words how much I loved Brooke and Dylan. Brooke was dealt a horrible hand in life and I have no idea how she managed to stay such a good person despite it. It showed how strong she was that she didn’t let it turn her into a bitter, selfish woman. I loved experiencing her transition from just thinking snarky thoughts to starting to voice them. She needed to learn to stand up for herself and she did great once she figured it out. I respected her need to find herself before being totally immersed in Dylan once she had the chance to stand on her own.

Dylan was perfect for Brooke in the sense that he let her come to things in her own time. Like they way he kept meeting with her waiting for her to open up. The way he didn’t force the issue when she first showed up covered in bruises. While this may have caused some misunderstandings, along with the communication issues, it allowed Brooke to go to him when she was ready. I think she really needed that after being under Blake’s rule for so long. It showed how much he cared about her that he was able to put aside his alpha ways when she needed him to.

It was interesting to see the delta 5 from an outside perspective. Also to see some of the changes they put in place after they took over. While some things changed there was still plenty of danger just like in the first three books.
I’m so happy Tate and jaymin decided to tell Dylan and brookes story. I always loved Dylan and I ended up loving Brooke even more!
