I’ve never given Jack Reacher less than 5 stars. This one was not my favourite, and I don’t know if it’s because I have a subliminal wariness, due to the co-author situation.
Reacher stumbles across a small, dusty town. Finds a woman, a diner, a problem, and some bad guys. Drinks some coffee. Headbutts a few bad guys. Tells the time in his head. Pulls back a few layers of the problem to reveal the real problem. And solves it. And then moseys out of town.
But he does all of those Reacher Things with less of his usual Reacherness. I like my Reacher Things to have an extra dose of Reacherness. Ego, only 3 stars.
