You Don't Know Me by Imran Mahmood
3.0

I really enjoyed the characterisation, the explanation of the different worlds that people lived in (including some of the language used), and the way that the justice system is often skewed. I was surprised that Mahmood - who is a barrister himself - would allow his character to fire his legal representative, give a 10 day closing speech, swear repeatedly in front of the judge, and bring in a ridiculous amount of new ‘evidence’ and arguments. Overall this, along with the somewhat unbelievable ending, is why I could only rate this 3*. I will keep an eye out for more of his publications though, as the characterisation was nicely done.
