Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut

Did not finish book.
A Book For Pessimistic Teens

Kurt Vonnegut puts the wry in writer. I enjoyed his dark humor throughout "Cat's Cradle" but it wasn't enough to make me love this novel. Regardless, I can say it's the only thing that kept me reading till the end.

I would've enjoyed this book a hell of a lot more in my depressive, pessimistic and angst-filled teenage years. At 27, I couldn't connect with anything he wrote about here. I didn't care for any of the characters. The only plot points of interest for me were the ice-nine and Bokononism religion but those weren't enough. Surprised I even finished it honestly.

As of recently I've been attempting to break an age old habit where I claim something sucks when I don't like it and instead saying it isn't for me.

This book was not for me at all.
