Seven Days in June by Tia Williams

4.0

Loved the connection between Genevieve & Shane despite the chaos in their lives. They seem to be each other’s safe zone but don’t believe they are good enough for love. I loved Cece who enjoyed name dropping & was an amazing character with such an awesome wardrobe & apartment! I completely devoured this story. Perfect read for these summer days!

The novel follows two Black writers, Shane Hall & Eva Mercy. When they were young, they had a passionate and destructive week in June that connected them together. Fifteen years later, they are unexpectedly reunited & need to get a handle on their lives now &  with the emotions that stemmed from all those years ago.
