The last "original" Inspector Alleyn and although it's not the best of them, and definitely not my favourite, it was nice to be back at the Unicorn for another mystery and to be back in the company of some familiar characters as well as Rory. However, Rory is a very small part of this one - most of the book is with the cast of Macbeth and particularly Peregrine Jay who we first met in the last (I think) book set at the unicorn.
