Dracula by Bram Stoker, Nicky Raven

4.0

A great cast reads this classic novel. My favorite narrator was Alan Cummings as Dr.John Seward. Perfect for October, and Halloween. I am now interested in learning more about the origins of vampire myths and the evolution of vampire novels, though, in general, I am not a fan of the genre.

After reading Joseph O'Connor's [b:Shadowplay|41723505|Shadowplay|Joseph O'Connor|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1546223576l/41723505._SY75_.jpg|65090784], I decided to re-listen to this excellent audiobook with multiple narrators. Stoker's novel is an example of amazing Victorian gothic literature. Many readers do not realize that Stoker was Irish - born and bred in Dublin. This book was not a success in his lifetime, but continues to be a classic horror novel.
