So I went back and forth on how I felt about this book. I liked it, but was it a 4 or 5 star read...ultimately it's knowing that there's another book coming that rounds this up a bit for me. I loved the adventure everyone was on. That part of the story was great. But Baz and Simon's inability to talk to each and just wallow in their misery was soooooooooo frustrating. The book kept getting closer and closer to the end and no one was resolving anything. I was getting ready to beat my head against a wall. But even though this is book leaves a lot unresolved I'm ok with this because I will take more Simon and Baz any day.
I kinda had to giggle at the Brits in America road trip kerfuffle. I actually really enjoyed the shenanigans and absurdity in this story. Sure this time around there's no huge amazing crazy big bad trying to destroy everything, but there's enough of a danger to Agatha to keep things interesting. I enjoyed Simon and Baz's banter throughout I just wanted to have them really talk. I really enjoyed Shepard and can't wait to find out more about him. Of course vampires are in Vegas and California making trouble. But Baz's getting to find out more about what being a vampire can be was a bonus. He's just...it's Baz. Love him.
