Review: A chemistry filled, one-night stand to lovers romance between co-workers that will satiate your need for angst, love and dirty talk! Noah Westcott is here to stay and I loved every page of his story. The book is a twist on a one-night stand, surprise pregnancy, second chance romance and it left me in a chokehold for a hot minute.
The story starts off with full steam and delivers the intense meet-lust between Noah and Liv. From page 1, we see how gone Noah is for his mystery lady and the naïve way he thought he could convince her to stay pulled at my heart. While Noah appears to be shallow, conceited and cocky at first glance, he is actually a very complex MMC which just made me love him more. The love he has for family is a huge point in this book since it goes against how people perceive him. I loved how when he realizes Liv is the mystery woman, he does not back down. I did feel bad for him with the frosty reception he had since he had no clue because she was acting so cold.

Liv is a fierce FMC. I loved her bond with Max, her son, and her mother but hated how she refused to tell Noah for a while. I enjoyed the way Noah was able to blast through her walls and show her that he was not who she thought he was and I also loved how she was stubborn to a fault. While I enjoyed the enemy to lover banter and tension, I thought she overdid it at times and I found myself really wanting to shake her to get sone sense in her head. Once the true reasons come out for why she reacted to Noah the way she did, I found that I understood but wished it had been told sooner. The reluctance she had about diving into a relationship with Noah was done superbly since I enjoyed the way they got to know each other.

The introduction between Noah and his son, Max, was tear inducing and I swooned with how fast he accepted his role. The bond that grows between them will reduce you to tears and fill your heart with warm fuzzies since we get to read it from both POVs. I appreciated how the book centered around them finding out their new normal and not necessarily spice. However, the spice and chemistry is terrific and I LOVED how Noah was the sweetest dirty talker ever. I enjoyed how SL Scott had an unorthodox introduction with Noah’s family meeting Max since it fit these two perfectly!
Rating:10/10, I’m in love with Noah and Max’s bond in this book!
