First i want to thank the author for sending me an Arc copy, however, Its with a heavy heart that I had to DNF this. I wanted to like it but at 22% I had to stop realizing that this book wasn't for me. The main reason being I've been slowly transitioning out of the Y/A space for a while now.
My biggest issue is that we are thwarted right away in finding out who our MC truly is when we never got a chance to see her before she has this revelation and I didn't get a chance to get to know her and fall in love with her character. It was very fast pace.
With the pacing however I will say this if a teenager or a person trying to get back into fantasy again this book would be perfect since it gets to the point and doesn't slam slam you with a lot of information!
