Lady Be Reckless by Megan Frampton

4.0

The second book in the Dukes’ Daughters series and another immensely enjoyable read for me. I liked how flawed Olivia was in this book, and how she worked to overcome these flaws that she didn’t even realise she had. The moment when she realised what she had been doing you felt for her, that it really was a kick to her self esteem and whole sense of self, but exactly what she needed to get her to turn her whole approach around. A great case of great intentions gone wrong.

In saying that, she wasn’t always easy to read, and I got frustrated with her at times, much like the characters around her. And I thought that Edward was a great match for her. I enjoyed the idea of a bastard out in society and the challenges that presented as well. Edward was very likeable, if damaged, and I thought that played off nicely against Olivia’s more challenging personality.

Another great read!
