I love learning and reading about Maverick’s character. I forgot how much I enjoy Thomas’ writing and I am even more excited to get to On the Come Up eventually. I will probably reread The Hate U Give soon because I’ve been in the mood to lately. Even though o don’t condone teenage pregnancy and teenage parenthood, it happens and I don’t think it ever won’t happen, but I love that that representation is being depicted in books because I think it is important for teenagers that are/were parents as teenagers to see themselves represented in media in a way that doesn’t shame them. I can’t wait to see what Thomas ends up doing next.
