Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan

3.0

Simplified summary:
A young woman flees her hidden life, facing magic and dangers in a quest to free her mother and confront powerful foes.

Opening lines:
There are many legends about my mother.

Review:
Not as "sweeping" as I was hoping it would be, but not bad either. To me, this was more of a "popcorn" fantasy book. Lots of typical tropes, romantic tie ins, chosen one-esque character, rocky training montage, etc. I had fun but probably won't continue with the series.
