I think overall the book was a decent read. The premise was fine, though I very easily pegged one of the main twists from the jump. The tie in at the end was very loose and I feel like there were a lot of threads left loose and not cleared in a way that would’ve made the story more enjoyable. I didn’t really care for hearing Ethan’s perspective at all
and if it was there to infuriate me from his entitled perspective and as a plot device to make him seem less likable, then to some degree it worked
. I will also say that the narration was mostly mid, though I was particularly displeased with the narrator for Cass. She did okay, but there were points of height in the book that I didn’t believe she hit that took me out of the moment. I would likely recommend, but not at the top of the list.
