Crash Into You by Roni Loren

3.0

An interesting combination of second-chance, BDSM, and suspense/thriller, not all of the pieces of which worked together quite right, but I liked it nonetheless. There were a lot of moving pieces, particularly the way the two timelines were interwoven. I picked up on one of the pieces of the mystery early on, but the second piece was really well concealed, right up until the actual reveal, which was very well done. (It made perfect sense in retrospect but well played.)

As some other reviewers have noted, there is an m/m/f menage scene to the book, as well as some heavy lifting regarding past trauma and abuse. Readers with issues around sexual assault or abusive doms may want to steer clear.
