This had an intriguing premise that immediately drew me in. Wanting to see how Jia and her clients would outmanoeuvre Seven kept me turning the page until I finished.
That said, I really wanted to get to know the Park siblings better. Their dynamic had so much potential, but I felt their characterisations could have been more fleshed out. I was left wanting more depth and connection with them.
The interlude POVs of the mole was a bit of a mixed bag for me. They could be confusing and at times pulled me out of the flow of the main story. I’m not sure they always served the pacing well.
Overall, this was a quick and entertaining read - perfect to toss in your beach bag for a summer afternoon. Not without its flaws, but enjoyable for fans of twisty, stylish drama.
