First of all, I was pissed learning this wasn't the last book. I read all three books in less than three months because I thought great! The series is completed! I don't have to wait two years for the next book- Wait a minute? How come information about some of the knights of the Round Table isn't completed yet? How come the final line of the book ends in a question mark? And once again another five star book, so you can't imagine how angry I am that I can't pick up book 4 right now...
That being said, if this series was 12 or 13 books long, I"m SAT. I'm reading every single one. All three have been perfect, so even if the next one falls off, I'm a fan for life.
Since Book One, I was headcanoning Selwyn as Black. I know it doesn't make sense but I always make my favorite characters / love interests Black in my head I don't care. Maybe he lightskin with a tan. But anyway, separately, in Book Two,I was headcanoning Erebus as Black, probably because of Valechaz. Two older suave like men with demon ancestry, why not? We didn't get much of Erebus but in my mind he was a tall older Black man. Now I absolutely see them both as Black! In my heart, in a universe where all is right in the world, Selwyn is Blasian. Natasia (no not just because of her name) is like East Asian and Central Asian (maybe the Caucus region or Kazakh or Uzbek, one of the stans), the point is she looks a little Wasian, and Selwyn may not have those traits but he's Black. He's Blasian. He get it from his daddy. I love them both so much I can't believe I have to wait two years before I see them again.
Lastly, and this may be a spoiler but I won't cover it up, for the next book, Ms Deonn, we better get confirmed Arthur x Lancelot, because for their descendants to have such charged energy MUST mean this is ancestral. And put Merlin in their too since we know him and all his descendants are canonically hot. Arthur x Lancelot x Merlin is thee slow burn of TWO millenias! What's my evidence behind them being together? If the descendant of Lancelot and the descendant of Guinevere (remember from the first book) can still have relations for each other 1500 years later, this MUST mean Arthur and Lancelot, and possibly Merlin too, were boyfriends OR wanted to be boyfriends but their focus on the war kept them from expressing their feelings for each other. Look at their descendants! Yes they're teenagers but none of them are officially together. It's clearly endgame but it also seems they're afraid of hurting one person's feelings, to which I say, it's time to finally embrace polyamory. I just want for them what their ancestors clearly wanted but could not have. Thank you.

I was too wrapt in the story to remember content warnings. 😝
