I was attracted to this book because of its promise of Norse mythology even though I’m not normally a fan of YA. The first few chapters were filled with the thing that makes YA not my favorite - teenage angst (understandable but ugh). BUT THEN…the mythology kicked in and I COULDN’T PUT IT DOWN! Now I’ve been introduced to a mare and to a vatte and an ash wife! Oh my! 

Ends on a bit of a cliffhanger and I look forward to the second one!
