This series keeps getting better, I adored this story.
Nate and Tucker grew up as neighbours, they were best friends until Tucker realised that Nate was gay and he was confused and pushed him away. During high school, the distance between them keeps growing, Nate doesn't recognise his friend anymore, he became angry and violent.
After about 15 years, nate is back in town: he needs to help his family and he wanted a change from the big city. His first encounter with Tucker is not pleasant and it seems they cannot find a way to be friends again.
Tucker has a painful past and a very lonely present, there are a lot of things that prevent him from being happy, old injuries and a confused sexuality and the journey to let himself being loved by Nate is not easy nor fast.
The sex scenes are very very sweet and heartwarming.
It was nice to see Cal and Eli again (they all went to school together) and finally we have a closure about Cal and Tucker hatred towards each other.
Next book is about Whit, poor guy lost a lot at the end of this story. We'll see what the author had in store for him and his love interest.
The books are standalones, but we have glimpses of Tucker's past in the first one, Down Low: it's not essential to have read it, but I recommend to do that to have a full understanding of the four guys lives.
