Disliked it more than I dislike the first book. I heard it was supposed to be better. The cover gives fall vibes, but it takes place in the summer. My Book Club chose it because we thought it would be a perfect book for November. The narrator’s voice is way too old for the character. The character is supposed to be turning 30 but the narrator sounds like she’s 60. I had to fast forward the spicy scenes because of the voice actor. Gave up the book
At chapter 17 because I didn’t care what happened. It’s annoying how insecure the main character is. I’ve had other insecure characters that were fine, but this one was just over the top too much.
It’s funny because none of us in my book club liked the first book, but for some reason, we decided to do the second one trying to keep with the fall weather Really hoping they don’t do the third one next month because I can’t get through another one of these
