Plain Truth
by Jodi Picoult
For some odd reason I have been reading a lot of books lately about the Amish people. I have been reading Beverly Lewis sereis Abrahams Daughters and for a break, decided to try a Jodi Picoult book. Much to my suprise when I opened up Plain Truth...it was about Amish people. I think because I had been reading Beverly Lewis books, and was familiar with the Amish culture through her stories, I really enjoyed this book. Jodi Picoult does a MUCH better job of creating intrigue in her plot line. And this was no exception. It is a typical Jodi Picoult book with the "suprise ending" that in my mind cheapens the story a bit, but in this case I actually like the ending. This is one of the better books by Picoult.
