Sleeping Murder
by Agatha Christie
3 - 3.5 ⭐️
I really enjoyed this! It’s both so different yet so similar to the film adaptation. While I definitely prefer the book version of this story, I think the TV take had some really good twists of it’s own that really suite the story and really add to the red herrings; the two wives being the same person, the funny bones troupe. But I like in this that Giles and Gwenda are actually married and are having a husband and wife little crime solve together - works much better than Giles being her Fiancé’s assistant or whatever that pointless and forced romance side plot was in the film.
All the secrets and Gwenda’s flashbacks uncovering things when they first get to the house was so cool and really pulls you into the story from the get go.
