I LOVED this book, the way it made me feel! π€π€π€
The number of times the interactions between Paedyn and Kai had me smiling at my book like an idiot is crazy! Roberts also has a ridiculously beautiful way with words, the number of times some of her metaphors made me scream into my pillow because of how ROMANTIC they were, oh my goodness!
So many notable quotes, so pleased I buddy read this with a friend so all our thoughts and highlighted quotes are stored!
The plot is also incredibly interesting, with fast paced trials, dance scenes that we love, top tier flanterous teasing between our two MCs, kingdom politics, and just a really great foundation of the varying magical powers. Would thoroughly recommend. The writing is not *perfect* by any means, but goddam did I enjoy this book.
The ending is so terribly sad but leaves me super excited and compelled to read the next book as soon as it drops because Iβm so here for the author making us work for our happy ever after.
