Tom has been trained by his father from a very young age to be the perfect soldier and assassin. After questioning some of the goings on at the CRF, Tom is put on "babysitting" duty. He is intrigued by the woman he has seen broken and battered, and with their cabin hidden in the woods, treats her more as a person than an asset.
Amelia is the pet experiment for much of the CRF research. To keep her from being found by the CRF's latest recruit, she is moved to Tom's remote cabin. She is broken, battered and tortured, but can she learn to trust the man who gives her the freedoms she has only dreamt of?
Feeling begin to grow between each, but do they dare trust those feelings? Or has he done so much damage that getting involved will only risk them both further?
Forbidden Bonds continues the story in Lexi's Immortal Curse Series. It kept me on interested and on the edge of my seat as I read it. I grow even more enamored of this story the more I read. Cannot wait to see what happens next!
