Hex Hall
by Rachel Hawkins
While by no means the best book I have ever read, it was still one that I couldn't put down until finished. It moves with a fast pace with a surprise just around every corner to shake up everything you thought you knew about the characters.
The book dates itself through references to current pop culture, which helps a modern reader identify with the protagonist but does not lend it a sense of timelessness that will appeal to future generations.
All in all it is worth the read and I'm eagerly looking forward to getting my hands on its sequel!
