Writing Mr. Wrong
by Kelley Armstrong
I’m always up for reading a book with a hockey player and then you throw in a romance author who wrote a less than flattering book inspired by said hockey player, sign me up!
This book is kind of a second chance story between new author Gemma and hockey player Mason who went to high school together, shared one kiss, and then never spoke again until they were ambushed during the book tour and decide to fake date for PR. I don’t think the romance storyline between them was very strong because it felt a lot more like they spent their time rehashing their old issues as well as the new ones trying to reframe Mason’s personality. They definitely had a few miscommunication issues throughout their times together but it wasn’t the main trope throughout the storyline so that helped.
Thank you publishers and netgalley for this eARC in exchange for my honest feedback
