Saorsa by Heather Shere, Kerry Heavens

3.0

SAORSA is a steamy standalone. This is my first read from Kerry Heavens and Heather Shere.

Charlotte Rose is so over her ex husband and her life in Chicago. She decides to make a huge move to London for a fresh start with her bestie. Straight off the plane, she meets a sexy, tattooed Scott. As the weeks go by, it seems she keeps running into Rhys everywhere! Their chemistry grows with each encounter but is Charlotte ready for a new relationship?

So, I'll begin by saying that I LIKED this book but didn't LOVE it. I felt like there was a few parts thrown in that were just unnecessary to the storyline. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the back and forth between Charlotte and her friends. The secondary characters were fun and quirky but I think there was too much emphasis on them and it didn't really add anything to the story.

Charlotte was strong and independent and I truly admired her for uprooting her life and making a new beginning for herself. And I loved it when she FINALLY comes together with Rhys, who by the way, is a scrumptious hottie! The book is well written, easy to understand and follow. BUT for some reason, I couldn't really connect with Charlotte. I can't exactly pinpoint why, maybe it was the mindset I was in.

Overall, although I didn't completely fall in love with this book and it's characters, I'd still be willing to try another from these authors. Told from Charlotte's POV with a happy ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
