This is an imperfect, steamy romance novel, but it hit me at just the right time—damn was it fun and spicy! I identified with Delilah’s character in so many scenes. She felt so real and relatable to me, particularly how she acts in relationship, with intimacy, and obstacles she is struggling to overcome. I appreciated how it dealt with the complicated nature of family relationships and
what repair work could look like.
I had such a blast reading this and felt so many feelings that I can’t not be biased in this review. (It even managed to make me blush listening to this audiobook with the windows down in my car, embarrassed other drivers could hear; the narrator’s voice for Delilah was so smooth.) Delilah and Ruby were my favorite characters, and I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series!
