Before We Were Strangers by Renée Carlino

3.0

A story about missed connections and off-timings.
Matt and Grace met at freshman year and they had dorm rooms next to each other. They bonded over music and photography and selling blood for money. A miscommunication lead them to separate for 15 years until they meet again by chance in the train and catch up with their lives.

“You called us fast friends, I like to think it was more”

The book goes back and forth between past and present. It’s a beautiful story and easy to read. Secrets unfold and harsh truths are told.
