A Man Called Ove
by Fredrik Backman
I really am at a loss on what to say about this book.
It is full of contradictions for me! I loved it and I disliked it.
I found it charming but I will admit to skim-reading the last 1/4 of the book.
I'm not sure what it was that I had a hard time with but it never fully clicked with me so I can't give it more than 2 stars - "It was okay."
I would absolutely read another of Mr. Backman's books! And please don't get me wrong, I did not dislike this one in the least but neither was I nuts about it. If you have the time and inclination for a decent story line and a set of interesting characters, than give this one a try. However, the word "catchy" or "riveting" have no place here.
