Steele is insane
But in a good way?

Like all the men in this series they are so toxic! However, they are also swoon worthy at the same time… it doesn’t make sense but Sarah has her way with words.

“You’re too easy prey,”
“I’m not prey… I’m the reward.”
“Fuck. How can I argue with that?”

Steele and Aspen are step siblings and because he’s so attracted to her, he decides to torture her. Makes sense right?
However, I never thought I’d say this, but it’s possible there was too much smut. Yeah, crazy but it’s true. I love a good scene, or six, or ten but when there’s barely any other interaction between the main characters it gets to be too much. In the beginning I don’t think they ever had one conversation. The only things they would discuss is how he hates her, sex, his father, sex, that he’s jealous, sex, sex, sex, and more sex.

What I would’ve done to see him ask her about the freaking weather or something. Though, that’s not his style. I get it.

Now, for the good parts, we love a decent man. The way he’d defend her in front of anyone had me dead. Not once did he judge her or her body.

It’s the way he’d never tolerate any disrespect towards her AND he didn’t make her work for his respect! So when he wasn’t being mean to her, forcing her in between his legs, having his hands in her pants, OR having both their pants down and him in between her legs… well they were good together. I liked them.

Now this wasn’t my favorite book in the series, but they won me over in the end. I absolutely love this series!!

“This obsession has gotten out of hand. I know that. She knows that. But I can’t stop—and I won’t.”

Steele’s obsession with Aspen is my obsession with this series
