Dark Blood by Christine Feehan

Every single time I think about quitting this series, Feehan keeps pulling me back in. I enjoyed this book for the most part, but I did have some issues. It was ridiculously repetitive regarding Zev's status as a mixed blood Carpathian and Lycan. It felt like this was stated every other page. Okay, we get it! Also, some of Zev's more domineering moments were a bit questionable with Bronnie's consent. This is fiction, so whatever. That moves me to Branislava, Zev's lifemate. She was so adorable and kickass at the same time. She was wonderful and it was nice to see a strong female in the lineup when there has been so many weaklings in the previous books. Bronnie is Tatijiana's twin and they can both transform into dragons! The side plot concerning Xavier the evil mage was ridiculous, but Feehan has written worse plot points. All in all, I really liked this couple and I feel the author has moved over her plateau of crappy books. This is number twenty-five in the Dark series. Twenty-five! I better like this next couple or I'm dropping you like a dragon egg.
