Started off strong and had high praise in being great for fans of Leigh Bardugo and Victoria Aveyard

For me, it was jarring to randomly have new POVs of Valah and the uncle after having just Gal, it made it a little more confusing for me. The world set up was nice (possibly a little long) and I liked the twist about Bentley (he was giving slight Hans vibes).

Overall it was fine, didn’t have a special effect on me like how other books suck me it. Despite the cliffhanger, I won’t be reading the remaining books in the trilogy.
