I found the premise very intriguing going in. Spiritual entities as corporations? Yes please!
But as the story progressed, everything started to seem a bit scattered. The time jumps, while interesting, took away from the plot imo because they felt unnecessarily long and sudden.
Nneoma was an interesting character at first but then she remained the same only for her to
change in the name of love??
I just feel like she had so much to give but was reduced to odd sexual activities and being Shigidi’s one true love.
The world building was absolutely beautiful for the most part. Reminded me a lot of Vagabonds!. But then by the time we get to the heist, most of it is lost and I struggled to keep up my interest in the characters in the last quarter of the book.
Overall a good debut, but…
