I AM CRYING. THIS IS SO GOOD. The writing is so beautiful. I need to say I’m not really oriented in mythology, so I don’t know how accurately the characters were written, but I loved them, I enjoyed their stories. It has a heartbreaking closing, yet it's also oddly inspiring and full of hope. Definitely another book I’m going to annoy my best friend with, he should get ready.

“I could recognize him by touch alone, by smell; I would know him blind, by the way his breaths came and his feet struck the earth. I would know him in death, at the end of the world.”

Achilles was an interesting character. We see his unappealing qualities as well as that he’s human.

Achilles and Patroculus’ relationship ruined me. It’s devastating. After reading 20% of this book, I was ready to end up like a puddle on the floor. Can’t they be happy?
