The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
5.0
"For you a thousand times over."
This is my favourite book of all time.
I'm glad my uni English teacher made us read this because I'd never have picked this otherwise. I had never heard of this author back then, and I'd never read a book about Afghanistan, with this historic charge to it. It's just not my cup of tea.
However, I've reread this book a couple of times when I'm in the mood for tears. I cried the first time I read it, and cried every other time I read it even though I know what's coming my way.
I cannot stop recommending The Kite Runner to my friends and family.
