Flirt by Laurell K. Hamilton
4.0
So I am re-reading the Anita Blake series from start to finish and I am enjoying it a lot more than the first time.
This could be due to a couple of reasons. 1) I am a lot older than I was when I was younger so I understand a lot more of the undertones and the feelings Anita goes through with all her new powers and what they mean. 2) I know who stays and who goes and a lot of them I stick with. 3) My dislike for Richard is still justified. 4) Micah and Jean-Claude are as dreamy as I remember. 5) Nicky has come in and I like him.
Either way I am falling back in love (lust) with the Anita Blake world. I enjoy the characters and get to enjoy their journeys again. I will admit though, my younger self has great taste as I still like Micah and Jean-Claude. Asher and Richard are my least favs. I will admit I am slowly finding Nathaniel maniplative and although he love Micah and Anita... It bugs me.
I enjoy the crime/Marshall side of the stories and am glade Anita shows that its important to her and makes her who it is.
