I enjoy the audio for these books. This series is my first introduction to Sherrilyn Kenyon, and I am loving it. The story is nicely paced out overall. There are quite a few characters, but you never really feel overwhelmed by all of them. I didn't realize this was a prequel series to the Darkhunters series, and I am really excited to get more of these characters. So far Nick is trying to adjust to all the magic, and monsters, and general craziness on top of puberty (sounds fun...). He has several people trying to help him through all this. Kirian, a dark hunter, Acheron, who intrigues me to no end, Caleb, Cody and his over protective mother. I have a feeling someone sells him out at some point, but I just get the impression some of these people are not to be trusted.
