Blind Faith by Rebecca Zanetti

Dammit. Now I have to read the first two books in the Sin Brothers series and then wait until March 2015 for the final book. I often stay away from series for this reason. I received an invitation from NetGalley to read Blind Faith, and since I hadn't read a romance in a while, and the blurb was intriguing, I went with it. And as far as my venture back into romance (the kind with explicit sex, not Edenbrooke or Blackmoore), I was not disappointed, and you won't be disappointed either.
I really liked Nate Dean and Audrey Madison. As a couple they are somewhat unique in romance, in my experience, as they are both damaged. Often, one is damaged and the other "saves" him/her. I liked how Nate and Audrey save each other. They are both strong in their own ways, which was refreshing. Who doesn't love a kick-ass heroine, right? And the action sequences are pretty well done, and serve to break up the romance and intrigue nicely.
Reading the first two books in the series is not necessary to te enjoyment of Blind Faith. Zanetti does a really good job of filling in the historical gaps in a way that does not feel forced or awkward, which I appreciated. But she did manage to make me like everyone enough that I want to read the story of the other three Dean brothers, including waiting patiently for Jory's story next year.
I only have a few nit-picky complaints: overuse of periods for emphasis, the occasional lazy word choices in the sex scenes, and a twist that seems entirely unnecessary. Those are just petty, but I figured the review shouldn't be all one-sided.
