A wholesome story about a boy and his pet fox, and made me want one too. I loved it when it was in the perspective of Pax and wanted more of it from his life, but it was nice to see how hard the little boy would try to get back to Pax. I got worried when they mentioned how there was a war going on with landmines etc, and the boy was still going in that direction which was also where Pax was. I really wouldn't be able to handle Pax or the boy dying. I also got a bit annoyed at how the boy went though all that trouble to just let Pax go off into the wild, but I love how Pax got himself a girlfriend ;) . A nice book to read if you like it be be mainly focused on animals and I will definitely read it again as a chill book.
Minor: Animal death and Emotional abuse
