Story: Style, Structure, Substance, and the Principles of Screenwriting by Robert McKee

3.0

There is some really useful knowledge in this book. It tied in well with my own experiences and illuminated why some approaches work better than others.
On the downside, the end came to me very abruptly (listening to the audiobook version). There were also multiple occasions when the author's writing in the book itself could have been better or where I disagreed with his interpretation of movies and characters. Furthermore, he made very forceful statements that left little tolerance for different approaches or opinions. It's a very good think piece, but it didn't entirely satisfy me.
