Floral Embroidery by Teagan Sturmer is a delightful book for beginners and experienced embroiderers alike. With 10 patterns that range in difficulty and technique, there is something for everyone. It is accessible to beginners, with a guide for stitches and required materials. The designs themselves are a modern take on traditional floral patterns, albeit with muted, not so fresh looking color schemes. Surprisingly, there is a gratuitous number of photos of the author working in her home, which is refreshing given the author's youth and modernity. All in all, it's a beautiful book on floral embroidery that's given new life to a traditional art form.
