Now that sounds great right??

This was the most clichéd YA book I have ever read (even though it's not YA). Cliche after cliche stacked atop one another so high they might just fall. From stabby FMC to "talk murder to me it turns me on" MMC (omg I've just realised this sounds like Poppy and Castiel? Casteel? Cas? Eurgh.) to a (generic) Russian inspired world (that has NO world building AT ALL) to murderous emperors to star crossed lovers (one almost literally arranges the stars [flowers] in the sky)... I actually started skimming this halfway through just to get it out my rotation of current reads.

I loved The Falconer series way back when and decided to give this a go. Such a disappointment 😭

If you read my review and still want to read, mind the TWs!
