The Forest of Stars by Heather Kassner

This was an interesting story, with magic, and friendship, and adventure, and the world building is wondrous and enchanting. However, it felt like it was trying to reproduce the writing style and feel of The Night Circus and is too much like adult literary fiction, but with middle grade characters, and that just does not circulate well in my library. Will do best where stories like Circus Mirandus are in high demand.
