Burnt Offerings by Laurell K. Hamilton

2.0

Staring across the table at the smiling vampire, I wondered if I got the joke or if I was the butt of the joke. There were nights when I wasn't sure which way the grave dirt crumbled.

Anita is still annoying, but slightly less so. She goes up against the vampire council with Jean-Claude...it is starting to get farcical how she is dominating the vampires, the shapeshifters, and her own necromancy all at once.

Also, I missed Edward. I have a soft spot for bounty hunters.
