I wasn't sure if a fantasy western was a genre I would enjoy, but Amy Campbell blew me away with this one. The world of Breaker is bleak and gritty but also rich, enthralling and fascinating. I loved the unusual magic system, the shifting POVs worked brilliantly, and the characters were well-rounded and lovable. The pacing was bang-on and I was gripped by the story throughout. I can't wait to dive into the next book.
