I enjoyed seeing Percy challenged. This time, he's not treated like a hero. He has to work hard for everyone's respect. I liked watching him rise to the task and overcome the obstacles in front of him.

It was fun to see more elements of Greek mythology woven in.

I also liked how the characters interacted and how they bonded, especially when it comes to Clarisse. She definitely has some growth in this story as she realizes Percy isn't out to get her. We also see some other sides of Annabeth and what makes her tick, which was really cool.

My one complaint is I wish there was just a little more too the plot. Everything moved very quickly and I felt like it could have been a little longer. That might just be me wanting more Percy Jackson content.
