I was disappointed by this book. I thought this book would be a journey to unpack the minds of the girls and understand their motivations, however the only thing that happened in this book was what was already implied through its title - teenage girls commit suicide.
I also did not enjoy the narrators voice and was unsettled by the way some of the girls were characterised/sexualised. Simply, it was giving pervert.
I think the only redeeming quality was that during the last third of the book it did manage to evoke some visceral emotion - being anxious and tense. I believe any book able to evoke emotion is one that is not an entire write off.
